Thought For The Week - Are You Tired Of Being Weary?

"Weariness isn't simply being physically or mentally tired, it is being exhausted in your soul" - Mark Pettus COTH...So many people are run down and worn out due to the challenges of their every days lives. The pressure of passing a class in school or making 'the team' or meeting the 'right' person and building a long-term relationship or conceiving a child or figuring out how to pay all the bills especially the unplanned ones or coming to grips with the diagnosis received from a doctor last week or seeking to do what is best for aging parents can be overwhelming. Sometimes it feels like you're on a road to nowhere. The toll on a person's physical and mental health can be catastrophic IF they don't have reserves in their tank to draw from...if they don't have an inner peace to rely on. You may say, 'it just isn't that simple' or, 'you don't know what I'm going through.' Well that may be true to a point, but this doesn't negate the fact having a peace in your soul will enable you to navigate through the storms you are facing.
In my experience, true peace in our soul has one source - Jesus Christ! Accepting and trusting Jesus as our Savior brings us an inner peace like no other. Seek Him so He can walk with you through the valleys of life and lift the exhaustion you are experiencing onto His shoulders!
Matthew 11:28-29 - Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.
1 Peter 5:7 - Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you
Isaiah 40:31 - But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint
