Thought For The Week - Freedom Lies In Being Bold

"Freedom lies in being bold." — Robert Frost... Most people think freedom means the absence of restriction. They think it means having no boundaries, no master, and no obligations. But that isn't freedom—that is just lawlessness, and it always leads to captivity. True freedom is found in the capacity to be bold. When you live in fear—fear of man, fear of failure, fear of rejection—you are a prisoner. You are constantly looking over your shoulder, editing your convictions, and shrinking back to please the crowd. They are hunted by their own insecurities and bound by their own anxiety. But the person who is right with God has nothing to hide and no one to fear. Their conscience is clear, their anchor is secure, and their authority is established by the King. That person is as bold as a lion. They doesn't ask permission from the culture to speak the truth. They don't check the wind before they obey God. Their boldness is the evidence of His freedom. You cannot break a person who has already surrendered their life to Christ. Stop living like a fugitive in a territory your King has already conquered. Stand up, open your mouth, and walk in the lion-hearted authority that belongs to you. Break the chains of fear. Step into the open. Live bold, live free.

Proverbs 28:1 "The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion."
